Big Sky Country

Montana has some of the best scenic views in America. It has some majestic views that are breathtaking no matter how many times one travels to them. Doug loves to travel to these remote places and photograph these majestic places whenever he can and if weather permits him to.
Many travels about America
Doug has photographed  some beautiful places over the past few years. He enjoyes capturing the scenic vistas of California and the monuments of Washington D.C. It was a great pleasure to photograph the windy city of Chicago. It was a dreary day, in Doug's words "a perfect day", and he captured the skyline with the clouds which is a one in a million shot. California with its beautiful vistas makes it easy to photograph. The skyline photos of San Diego are great and in his words, "spectacular, epic and worthwhile." While in Washington D.C. on a cold weekend, photos of the capital building show its reflection in the foreground. Washington D.C. is a photographer's dream, you can never take a bad photo, he proved it with his photos on that trip.

Black and white photos
Doug has a keen eye to visualize a black and white photo. He has loved to do black and white drawings in charcoal and pen & ink since he was a little kid so it is easy for him to visualize a black and white photo. People have commented on his work saying things comparing him to Ansel Adams. Now, Doug doesn't think he is even close to Adams caliber but it is a beautiful thing to say about his photography. Some of his work is so simplistic that it just works better in black and white. He will be the first to tell you that he is just lucky somedays to be in the right place at the right time. As all of us know photography is all about timing.

Featuring Metal Art Photography

Metal Art Photography
Metal prints are very vibrant and the saturation on the print is spectacular. It is printed on an aluminum metal sheet and has better resolution then a canvas or paper prints. Metal prints are not as prone to being damaged as easy as other types of prints. If you have ever seen a metal printed photo in a home or office it has no comparison to other photo printing processes. No words can explain the beauty of a metal print and it is well worth the time and investment.
